Majalahku Wordpress Magazine Theme

“Majalahku” is actually an Indonesian word for “mymagazine”. As stated in the name, we create a theme that conveys information globally on contents of a site, both new and older contents.

At back-end, Majalahku uses Wordpress-integrated CMS. It is built on one basis: easiness in managing and adjusting parameters at the front-end. That way every admin can manage and change the front-end page without updating the codes on hard code.

Simple and Easy CMS

Wordpress is widely known for its simple and easy CMS. It helps us create a configuration panel so easy for everyone that either a noob or experienced user can actually use it.

One Hole for All Toys

Hey, where can I configure this thing?
All configurations are in one place, just like a huge chest where you put all of your toys. Our MJK Themes configuration can be found inside MJK Options, every function is categorized into groups accordingly to each group’s function.

When Majalahku is installed, you will find a menu panel you can use to configure Majalahku themes. Each part has its own characteristic. MJK Panel is continuously developed, following new features to be added later by Majalahku developer.

General Setting

General Setting can be found when you click the menu in MJK Options. In General Setting you can do the basic settings for Majalahku themes. Scheme Setting is to determine what scheme to be used by MJK themes. Currently there are red, green and blue schemes; more will be added later.

There are also two other fascinating options: to configure how many comments you want to appear on each page, and to turn on the gravatar that conveys the writer’s or commenting visitors’ avatars. One to keep in mind is that the header and default thumbnail modifications of MJK Themes can be done in this part, no need to modify them through HTML codes.

Manage Your Menu

Managing the menu is a big deal. Thus we create a header menu easy to manage. Best thing ’bout this menu management: you can choose anything you want to appear on your header and keep them in order. We create a component that you may call “a webmaster menu management heaven“.

With it you can add or remove any menu from categories, pages and custom link you can modify on your own. In this “heaven” you can also rearrange the menus accordingly to the group and your need by simply drag-dropping it. We use Ajax for this one, and you can find it in Menu Structure.

Share It!

As usual, we feel the urge to share anything good throughout the net. Which is a good thing, of course.
MJK Panel allows you to activate or dis-activate post sharing (Feedburner, Delicious, Twitter and Facebook), as you like.

Featured Posts

Featured posts are crucial since we want to gain special attention on these ones. With MJK Panel you only need to choose posts you want to convey on front page, simply by clicking the post list and save button.
You can change into 2 type featured post easily, Column and Slideshow:

Automatic Thumb Images

Every thumbnail displayed on home page, whether it is of feature, favorite or post list, have automatic thumb setting. It takes a snapshot out of the middle part of an image, automatically cropping it to your desired size. All of your images stay in your own server since our engine copies them all into your server.

Resource

We name it “Resource” since we want to provide a section you can use to convey articles in specific categories or tags. It is similar to feature posts, but for different target. In Resource you can choose post list based on categories or tags. You can too modify the titles from MJK Panel and determine how many posts appear in each list.

Sidebar and Advertising

Sidebar is one of the most important parts of Majalahku Premium Themes. You have several options of advertising and links to social networking sites.

To modify the sidebar we provide Sidebar, and to modify the advertising there is Advertising. You can put there banners from 3rd parties as Adsense, Openx and BuySellAds. Advertising appears under the header (next to logo), sidebar and under blog posts (before and after comments).

Footer

A rich, dynamic footer is needed, therefore we provide an area to modify the footer, from RSS Favorite to copyright.

Theme Status

MAJALAHKU needs to have all of its plugins activated to perform perfectly. We have built a plugin status feature, allowing you to check whether those plugins are active or inactive.

Six Position Widget Support

Widget support is one of the most important things for every WordPress theme. Majalahku is definitely widget support, for both its sidebar and footer. You can add more widgets and rearrange them.
